I have been working since I was 16 so that I would be able to learn more about the ins & outs of the working world, while growing my skills that I will carry for life. The time I spend in these jobs helps me grow myself with degrees and knowledge. This along with some of the friendships I've built have helped me discover why I enjoy to give work my all.
Working as a barista I manage my area as well as helping others with their tasks when they need, building community & managing my time. A major accomplishment of mine was being able to get a door unstuck in a 3 car, car accident to help an old man get medical attention on my first day of training.
Worked as a Lifeguard performing multiple rescues in my first season, while picking up multiple shifts for others and being responsible when people needed it most. Over the summer I also worked as a swim school instructor teaching babies and toddlers how to swim, building lasting connections that I have been told still help these kids. Closing off the summer I received Lifeguard of The Week, Swim School Instructor of The Week, and a Superstar Lifeguard award (Sweatshirt).
