I began my professional career 22 years ago as an Operation trainee at the Grand Bahama Power Company. I have, through hard work, perseverance and dedication, ascended from the entry level position to my current title of Lead Mechanic Operator. I have witnessed the development and strides made by the company over this time. Improvements in safety and reliability, I view as being most important. I look forward to being a part of us achieving "World Class Safety" in the near future, as I am a former member of the JOHSC.
I view myself as a very engaged employee, being involved and even spearheading different company initiatives. I have been responsible for authoring operational procedures used for the safe execution of many operational tasks. I am also a designated "Subject matter expert" as it relates to the plant and its operations.
Everyday I endeavor to exhibit the qualities of a good leader as it relates to the delegation of my team. I am also a former CEWU Vice President & President, who in my opinion, exhibited excellent leadership skills in that capacity, amicably working along with all involved stakeholders with the vision of moving forward.
I have during this time also been afforded and given the responsibility of assisting the former Energy Operation Manager so have a good understanding of the requirements of the role.
