- Took over educational component from Intermountain Hospital, which involved taking a private program and modifying it to become a Boise School District program with all the policies, curriculum, and teaching methods of an alternative, but public, educational
- Developed and adapted curriculumsometimes from scratchto meet the needs of alternative students who had been receiving private schooling that was not available or appropriate for BSD students.
- Taught English 9-12, speech, and critical reading to numerous struggling students for 29 years, many of whom graduated and may not have been it not for our ASCENT program.
- Used technology to enhance learning, implementing such resources as Vocabulary.com, ReadWorks, Quizlet, Kami, Flipgrid, Slideshow, Meets, Docs, Drive Classroom, etc.
