Summary

I am a 10th grader at Rocky and I've done student council before and absolutely loved it! This past year was filled with lots of experiences that I wouldn't have known without student council.

I'm involved in the Rocky Mountain Diamond Dance Team and have done that for 2 years now. I was also apart of journalism for a year and thought it was so fun writing for the Rocky Roar. I'm always up to read a good book and love to talk about movies and shows. I feel like communication is very important and have always tried hard to reach out to anyone and everyone. I'm very into anything fashion related and love getting to know different clothing styles.

I've always loved the environment of Rocky and just love getting involved in the school.

Questionare

1. Why do you want to be in Student Council?

A. I thought Student Council this year was just so fun. I loved the environment and thought it was really special how everyone worked hard to plan events that would involve the whole school. I really want this next year to just keep getting better. I think we got a start on involvement in the school, and I want to be in Student Council next year so we can keep going with that idea and make it even stronger.

2. What do you have to offer Student Council?

A. I think I bring very good organizational skills and I'm very good at getting things done. I can procrastinate, but always get it done in the end.

3. Describe a personal experience when you were in a leadership position.

A. One time I was assigned to be the captain/leader of our hip hop dance for Rocky Dance team. I was in charge of basically lifting up the other girls and motivating them. I thought it was so fun to just make them feel good, while also making sure we got the dance clean and sharp. I learned that while being hard on someone can be beneficial, it's always good to take a step back and remember we're all human.

4. Activities you were involved in:

Rocky Dance Team

Journalism (Rocky Roar)

Studio Dance (Studio C)

Slay the Snow (Snow cone shack)

Babysitting

Student Council

5. What makes you stand out?

A. I think I stand out because I try to relate to people. For student council I think this is important because all we're trying to accomplish is making school a good environment to be in for students. Relating to the students is really important to accomplish this task.

6. What does student council do?

A. Student Council plans all the events for the school. This includes football games, assemblies, dress up days, etc. They work hard to complete various tasks depending on their committee. Their work is what makes Rocky, Rocky.

7. What should student council be responsible for?

I think student council should be responsible for all the extra school activities that involve the students. Because they are made up of students, it's important for them to plan stuff specifically for their peers. Student Council should also be responsible for raising awareness for these events with videos, posters, fliers, etc.
