Homeroom Case Experiences

When faced with conflict or creative tension, I prioritize open communication, empathy, and problem-solving to achieve positive outcomes. One instance occurred at Morning Star Academy (MSA) when I confronted a sensitive issue involving a student viewing indecent images and displaying inappropriate behavior towards a young teacher. I approached the situation with empathy for both parties involved, recognizing the seriousness of the matter while also considering the student's well-being and potential underlying issues. I initiated a private conversation with the student, expressing concern, and guiding appropriate behavior and boundaries. Simultaneously, I supported the student, ensuring his safety and addressing any discomfort or distress caused by the student's actions. Through open dialogue, counsel, and collaboration with school administrators, we successfully addressed the issue provided support to the student, and implemented measures to prevent similar incidents in the future. Similarly, at Cornerstone Global Academy (CGA), I encountered a situation involving a new, young teacher recording the talk between the leader and the team in meetings. Recognizing the importance of upholding professional standards, I directly express concern and discuss the implications of her actions. Through constructive dialogue and guidance, we addressed the issue, emphasized the importance of ethical behavior, and implemented protocols to prevent recurrence. By handling conflicts with sensitivity, empathy, and proactive measures, I strive to foster a positive and respectful school environment.
