Key Responsibilities:

• Policy Expertise & Development: Serve as SME on Government, Politician, and Political Parties Account (GPPPA) policy, ensuring alignment with election regulations and regional dynamics. Represent TikTok in external engagements and collaborate with the Product Policy team on continuous policy enhancements.
• Election Integrity Initiatives: Lead coordination with Trust & Safety (TnS) on election campaign planning, misinformation mitigation, and in-app election integrity campaigns. Support regional GPP leads in strategic election preparations.
• Transparency & Accountability: Develop strategies to connect users with credible election information by partnering with election commissions and NGOs. Oversee content compliance with TikTok’s community guidelines.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between the Global Public Policy team and regional stakeholders. Build and maintain relationships with election commissions, regulatory bodies, policymakers, media, and fact-checkers.
• Crisis Management & Reporting: Monitor election-related risks, lead incident response efforts, and ensure transparency through data reporting to internal and external stakeholders.

In charge of Public Policy & Government Relations for TikTok Indonesia & Timor Leste; and GR lead for SEA ByteDance Non-TikTok Product: Gaming Apps (Moonton: Mobile Legends)

Key Responsibilities:

• Regulatory Advocacy & Government Engagement: Lead end-to-end regulatory strategy to ensure government policies do not negatively impact business operations. Advocate for balanced regulations through direct engagement with key ministries, regulatory bodies, and policymakers.
• Policy & Social Impact Initiatives: Position the company as a responsible platform by driving policy programs on misinformation, digital safety, child protection, and intellectual property rights. Build partnerships with government agencies and NGOs to promote online safety, education, and SMB empowerment.
• Regulatory Risk Monitoring & Mitigation: Proactively monitor regulatory developments in Indonesia and Timor Leste, assessing potential business impacts. Align internal teams (XFN) to ensure timely responses to regulatory challenges.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as a bridge between the company and government stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and alignment on key regulatory issues. Provide strategic insights to internal teams on policy developments.
• Issue Leadership & Crisis Management: Spearhead advocacy efforts on critical regulatory matters, including: Administrative Fines on Content Moderation, Publisher Rights , Intellectual Property & Copyrights, Child Safety Issues.
• Government & NGO Partnerships: Maintain strong relationships with government officials, regulatory bodies, and civil society organizations to foster trust and collaboration on digital policy and platform governance.
• Gaming & Esports Regulatory Advocacy: As the lead GR for ByteDance Gaming products (particularly Moonton), support business operations by: Securing necessary permits for MPL (Moonton Franchise League).
  Advocating for esports-related regulations across Southeast Asia, where regulatory landscapes differ by country.
  Engaging with esports federations and policymakers to help shape esports and gaming regulations in emerging markets.
• Business Growth Support: Safeguard the company from regulatory disruptions while enabling expansion, including non-TikTok products, by ensuring compliance with evolving digital policies.

• Monitoring pending legislation related to client interests
• Providing clients with valuable insights into the political environment, and advice relating to public affairs & governmental policy
• Attending community meetings and advocating on behalf of the firm
• Build rapport and working partnerships with relevant local, state government agencies

• Providing Legal & Policy Research for Deputy of Legislation Committee and Commission III
• Supervising the performance of the Working Partners of Commission III (Law and Legislation, Human Rights, and Security Affairs)
• Coordinating with Working Partners of Commission III (Indonesian National Police, Attorney General's Office of RI, Ministry of Law & Human Rights, Corruption Eradication Commission, etc)
• Preparing review of Draft that being discussed in Legislation Committee and Commission III
