Career Plan/Goals

I graduated with my ADN degree in 2021 while also working on my BSN through ODU which was awarded in 2022. I was employed at St.Luke’s initially on med-surg for the first 2 years, then went to the ER for some experience in critical care. I ended up wanting more exposure critical care within my year in the ER and applied to go to the ICU. I have been working in the ICU at St.Luke’s Meridian for over a year now and I love it. It has awakened more motivation to grow professionally and embrace new challenges. It has inspired me to go back to school and pursue a DNAP degree.

Additional Information

I have shadowed several nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) in the OR as well as on the OB floors and observed spinals, epidurals, intubations for a variety of procedures and use of an LMA in lieu of intubation for a procedure.
