I come from a family with a background in business and law enforcement. My father, the late Zulkifli Syam Tanjung, founded PT Indokaya, the sole agent for the DATSUN brand, along with his brother, H. Abdul Wahab Affan, in the 1960s, specifically in 1969. The types of vehicles produced that year were pickups, multi-purpose vehicles (jeeps), and sedans, with an average production of 750 units per month, marketed in Indonesia's largest cities.


And I'm also the nephew of Adnan Buyung Nasution, also known as Adnan Bahrum Nasution, an Indonesian lawyer and activist. One of the organizations he founded is the Legal Aid Foundation. From 2007 to 2009, Adnan Buyung Nasution was appointed a member of the Presidential Advisory Council's Legal Affairs Division.


Besides being the nephew of Adnan Buyung Nasution, I am also the nephew of H. Bismar Siregar, a former Supreme Court Justice. He served as a Supreme Court Justice from 1984 to 2000.[2] He is known as a progressive Supreme Court justice. Bismar Siregar, an alumnus of the University of Indonesia, began his career as a prosecutor at the Palembang District Attorney's Office from 1957 to 1959 and continued at the Makassar/Ambon District Attorney's Office from 1959 to 1961. His career as a judge began in 1961 at the Pangkalpinang District Court. [4] His name was also listed as a judge at the Pontianak District Court for six years until 1968. After that, Bismar became a clerk at the Supreme Court from 1969 to 1971. His career rose when he became Chairman of the North/East Jakarta District Court from 1971 to 1980.
