- 1998 - 2006 - Conductor/Switchman/RCO - switched cars in yard and local service to customers using remote control and conventional methods. Also, taking thru-freight trains hundreds of miles
- 2006-2008 - Crest Conductor/Yardmaster - supervised switching of cars and building of trains as well as set outs and pick ups from mainline trains.
- 2008-2010 - Manager of Yard Operations - supervised crews switching and building trains. Tested crews on their efficiency of GCOR, Safety, & Air brake rules to ensure efficiency and compliance. Attained DSRCO status and supervise RCO employees and give annual rides as well as testing to compliance.
- 2010-2021 - Manager of Train Operations/DSRCO - Managed terminal in Eugene yard as well as sub yards on line of road. Also, managed road crews as well as yard switchers, both RCO and conventional. Accumulated and analyzed data on safety and implemented a successful plan that saw 5 years of being injury free while I was still working there and has continued since I have moved on.
- 2021 - Present - Manager of Train Operations - Road - Manage over 300 miles of territory which includes 3 yards, 3 Short lines and dozens of customers. Manage over 100 employees and 5 other managers. Analyze data and implement plans for safety for testing plan, road grade crossing safety, and rail equipment incident awareness. Have tested for compliance with several regulators to ensure that risk has been mitigated. I respond and investigate derailments and their cause, personal injuries, and road grade crossing incidents. All incidents are followed up with a federal report filled out by me.
