Summary

I consider myself to be a hard working, self motivated, adaptable employee with good communication skills which enable me to work comfortably alone or as part of a team.

I have a strong passion for teaching and introducing the underwater word to people, a passion i enjoy passing onto guests.

I place safety as a number one priority followed closely by providing fantastic customer service.

I have been involved in several beach/reef clean ups as well as attaching new mooring lines on dive sites.

I am quick to learn new skills and I'm eager to improve and expand my knowledge. My past experiences have given me skills working with people from a variety of diverse backgrounds as well as leadership/supervisory qualities. I am skilled with power tools and technical equipment as well as working under strict safety and teaching guidelines. From my time as a boat captain I gained experience with boat/engine maintenance.

  • As the biggest water sports operator in the country, with dive shops in many of the major hotels, including The Marriott, The Westin and The Ritz-Calton, as well as contracts with Disney Cruises, I really learnt how to deliver a 5 star service and pass on my passion for diving
  • Service with a professional appearance and attitude required whilst teaching/working in these hotels
  • Although originally hired as an instructor, due to my hard work and attention to detail, I quickly began boat handling and captain training in various vessels
  • The size of these vessels were between 42'-48 ' with max capacity of 27 and I went on to captain over 500 trips and gaining the IYT Powerboat and RIB master license as well as the PADI Elite Instructor award
  • Duties included Teaching a verity of courses, Daily maintenance of boat, engine and hull and refueling, Planning dives taking into account individual skill and experience, Running multiple dive trips throughout the day, Keeping to strict timetables, Giving detailed boat safety, site and dive briefings, Ensuring safety of crew and guests, Ensuring guests embark on correct vessel with the correct equipment, Tank Filling, up to 200 a day
