Matthew Hash

My current job is at Big 5 Sporting Goods in Coeur D'Alene. The management here oversees the most successful location in our region, which includes all of Eastern Washington, Northeast Oregon, and North Idaho. While I am assistant at the Coeur D'Alene location, I have filled in as store manager multiple times for multiple store locations. My position is largely focused on merchandise control and inventory management, where I have dealt directly with vendors and brands. Outside of that, I have hiring and interviewing experience, as well as administrative and leadership skills.

My job at the Regal Cinemas in Coeur D'Alene was an absolute blast, and a highly varied experience. I started as what was called a "cast member", which really entailed working at concessions and box office and cleaning auditoriums and bathrooms. As I progressed, I trained new hires and got a chance to work on the projectors

My time with Silverwood was to fulfill a need for a summer job during college while I also worked at the theater. It was a valuable experience, especially in the realm of learning to combine efficiency and safety, as we were expected to work quickly while also operating the rides at the utmost level of safety. My experience was mostly in operating the roller coasters in the park.

The position at Triple Play was spent in multiple departments, including operating go-karts and bumper boats, working concessions, and operating/fixing the arcade games and helping customers at the prize desk. We also had a ropes course and a rock-climbing pillar where I learned valuable safety training. This job and my job at Silverwood really helped me become adept at working with families and groups. Often times, I would be put in charge of birthdays, which was a unique experience.
