- One of my largest responsibilities as a Certified Store Trainer is training new employees in the store. This includes every position within the store that a regular team member would perform. We are also responsible for educating team members on subjects such as Upgraded Language (ex. "My pleasure), Guest Attentiveness, and Employee Conduct. We would review what the team member did well, and what they could work on, as well as what could not be covered in our time together.
- In addition to these responsibilities, Certified Store Trainers are expected to fill different team member positions throughout the day. This includes serving (in drive-thru and on front counter), order-taking (on front counter, and using a headset and iPad in drive-thru), caring for guests and cleaning in the dining room, making drinks and desserts, stocking, and leading team members and guests in order fulfillment on cash cart in the drive-thru.
- We also collaborate with managers to identify and address employee relations issues, as well as issues with performance and attitude.

- At PetSmart my positions were as a Petcare Associate and cashier.
- In Petcare, I would take care of the animals, help potential adopters navigate processes, complete paperwork, and assessed suitability for animal care.
- This also included maintaining a safe and clean environment for pets by regularly sanitizing living spaces and play areas, feeding the animals, making sure they have clean water, and documenting pet care activities, immunizations and treatments delivered.
- The cashiering included checking out customers, facing and stocking products, wrangling carts, dealing with messes throughout the day, and the major janitorial work when the store is closed.
- In terms of customer service, this includes educating pet owners on best practices for maintaining optimal health, safety, and happiness for their animals at home.

- I worked as a cashier and barista
- This included helping recommend coffee and drinks to our customers
- The store sells over 60 different types of coffee beans, and they always offer to grind beans for customers
- The store can be very fast-paced, and we have to work well under pressure
- The job can be very physical
- The store sells three and five gallon water bottles, and many customers come in buying an average of five bottles (and we tend to help our customers bring the bottles out to their cars)
- Other jobs include regularly keeping cups, flavors, milks, and straws stocked, along with rebrewing empty air pots
- When closing, one associate does dishes, one cleans air pots and sweeps, and the last vacuums and mops the floors

- At The Gyro Shack I was taught and responsible for all of the following tasks:
- -Working the till, taking customer's cash, making change, and closing out the till
- -Taking customer orders, distributing food, and dealing with customer questions and complaints

- -Busing tables and cleaning dish/cookware
- -Preparing salads, vinaigrette, and baklava

- Before deciding to leave The Gyro Shack, I was meant to be trained to cook, along side all of my other duties
- During my time there the base pay was reduced from $8/hr to $7.25/hr, and I continued to receive the $8/hr
- My manager felt as though my work was befitting of more than the base pay
