Rondang Sumurung Edonita Siregar MPhil.,Ph.D has a strong academic background in biological and conservation science, attained the Master and Doctoral degree in Biological Science at the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. She has been working for over 25 years, including the time out on postgraduate program, with particularly in International and Indonesian NGOs also Consulting Agency and Research Centers.
Her key qualifications include research, conservation planning, project development, program, and project management, protected area management and forest and biodiversity conservation, primate rehabilitation and reintroduction, and HCV/S (High Conservation Value/High Carbon Stock) assessment and management.
In various leading positions, Rondang has conducted a range of forest, wildlife, and conservation projects across Indonesian archipelago, including in Sumatera, Kalimantan, and Sulawesi. Experienced leader with strong background in guiding teams, managing complex projects, and achieving strategic objectives. Excels in developing efficient processes, ensuring high standards, and aligning efforts with organizational goals. Known for collaborative approach and commitment to excellence.
Rondang has the experience to develop and assist the Biodiversity Management Plan as well as Biodiversity Action Plan in several mining, oil and gas companies as well as reviewing the GRI Biodiversity 101 reporting standard and the Consultative Paper 'Taksonomi untuk Keuangan Berkelanjutan sektor AFOLU versi 2.
She also has a long and successful experiences in carrying out consultancy works for land-based private sector, including HCV/S (High Conservation Value/High Carbon Stock) assessment and biodiversity management for mining concessions, hydro-electric power plant and Industrial Timber Plantation (HTI) companies (pulp and paper, rubber).
