With a diverse background that includes owning Rockin' Q BBQ Food Truck and roles in logistics and sales, I excel in fast-paced environments, demonstrating exceptional self-motivation and communication skills. My experience at Mondelez Global honed my forklift proficiency and logistical expertise, making me a versatile asset adept at driving efficiency and enhancing customer satisfaction.
I thrive in an environment where I am expected to know my job and do it with little immediate supervision but I am always willing to take training, direction and advice.
I am a people person and love building long term relationships with my co-workers and customers based on mutual respect and teamwork. I learn quickly and enjoy passing on things that I have learned.
Additionally I have worked in:
* The corrugated container manufacturing business
* The moving and storage business as an Operations/Dispatch Assistant & Operations/Dispatch Manager
* Retail loss prevention
* Retail sales including sales & management
For the past 5 years I have owned and operated Rockin' Q BBQ, a food truck in Boise, Idaho. In that capacity I have had to do every aspect of owning a food truck business.
*Food preparation
*Food sales
*Customer service
*Maintaining cleanliness standards required by local, state and federal entities
*Basic vehicle maintenance and upkeep
*Promotion of the business through social media and other outlets
*Customer contact to ensure excellent communication via telephone, text and email
This has required me to have excellent self motivation skills and responsibility in a fast paced and ever-changing situation. In a food truck environment you must be able to adjust on the fly and adapt to new situations that arise. You must have excellent communication skills whether dealing with customers or employees and do this in a respectful and helpful manner.
Owning a food truck has also required me to manage my time efficiently and be flexible with varying hours and work days. In owning a food truck and catering business you are at the whim of business and customer requirements and there are no set hours - it's always changing and evolving.
When operating a food truck business you must be willing to do any and all jobs that entail operating it from cooking & cleaning to driving & repairing the vehicle to promotion & communication with potential and current customers.
