From prior work in various occupations during my high school years, and my current work as a lab technician at High Desert Dairy Lab, inc. I have developed meaningful skills in the workplace to promote quality work and contribution.
High Desert Dairy Lab, inc. is the largest privately owned dairy lab in the world, and third overall, in terms of test-output. The work performed in the laboratory is analytical, emphasizing both precision and accuracy to create a quality product to dairies in the Treasure Valley and beyond, in Washington and Oregon.
As a Lab Technician, our role in the lab is to ensure optimal performance of the equipment being used, while testing the macronutrient complex (fat and protein) and somatic cell count of individual dairy samples. Each lab technician is responsible for running two autosamplers, each of which feature numerical data and two distinct graphs, one measuring the state of the machine and the other displaying quantity of somatic cells.
Other work in the lab includes weekly testing of equipment (ELS, Carryover, Unknowns) to verify quality, as well as various procedures to produce solutions used in the machines, such as dye and carrier fluid.
Quick Summary:
-Data analysis
-Graph interpretation
-Lab upkeep
-Regular equiptment tests
I worked first as a cook before being promoted to shift leader. As a cook I prepared dough and processed orders. As a shift leader I held those same responsibilities, as well as supervised employees, designated tasks, performing end-of-day closing protocols (mostly regarding financial work and cleaning), and I sometimes sent weekly reports of finances.
As a sales associate I worked throughout the store, in most departments. The work included greeting customers and helping with any questions they had as well as maintaining a clean floor. I also worked in the stockroom, processing online orders as they came in, unloading freight trucks and preparing packages to be sent off.
At sonic I worked in the front-of-house, taking customers orders, processing payment methods, preparing drinks and collecting food before sending it out to the customer.
I have been highlighted by my past employers as a hard worker and a quality employee I grew up oversees (until the age of 14), as my parents were missionaries with MAF, so I speak some Indonesian and have become adept at learning new things I pride myself in quality of work, attention to detail (especially in the lab setting), having a positive and optimistic attitude, diligence and punctuality
