IBDP Subject Choices:
A student-led club preparing passionate high school computer science students for the tech industry. We hold biweekly meetings on computer science basics and share our projects to gain insights and feedback, aiming to develop practical, life-changing systems.
Youth in STEM is a youth-led nonprofit organization aiming to inspire youths to explore the world of STEM. As part of the STEM Tutoring team, a subdivision of the projects department, I led internal events to hold tutoring events for children of the underprivileged in different settings, aiming at spreading the teachings of sciences, mathematics and technology. Having worked with large firms such as Harbour Energy, we have built a good reputation among high school students in Indonesia, serving as foundation to their university careers.
In my role, I gained hands-on experience in leadership, teamwork, and cultural exchange by participating in leaders' meetings, leading activities, and serving as a bridge between delegates and adults. I helped create a diverse environment, fostering friendships and understanding among young individuals from different cultures, aligning with the program's mission of building global friendship.
A student-led school club that holds weekly chess meetings. We also occasionally organize tournaments during school cups.
As part of the IB Diploma Programme and one of the core subjects required to earn the diploma, the cohort must create a significant project that fulfills the three strands: Creativity, Activity, and Service, known as CAS. We organized a five-day thrift market event at school, including weekends, called "Throwback Thrift," with all profits going directly to Yayasan Sayap Ibu Bintaro, a special needs orphanage. By the end of the project, we successfully collected over Rp 50 million (US$ 3,045) to donate to the orphanage.
In this one-week internship, I visited some operational sites, from the main office to the warehouse, observed meetings with the CEO, and summarized reports, gaining insights into the tech working environment and business operations fundamentals.
